Our Kansas Controlled Shooting Area For Pheasant Hunting
Abilene Outdoor Adventures is now offering a Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) for pheasant hunting in Dickinson County, Kansas.
We are offering half-day and full-day hunts, with lodging available for interested hunters. Our CSA consists of native prairie and rotational crop eight miles northwest of Abilene, Kansas. Please see our prices and details link for further information.
How do we prepare for your hunt?
Our birds are pre-released 1 to 2 hours prior to your arrival providing for an exciting and challenging shooting environment. Our hunts currently are self-guided, giving you the opportunity to work your dogs and enjoy an old style hunt at your own pace.

How long does the season last?
Kansas Pheasant hunting season for 2011-12 runs from September 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
Our Pheasant Hunting Policy
We expect all hunters to be respectful of the land and to act and hunt in an ethical manner while on our properties. If you wound an animal, we will expect that all effort will be expended to track and retrieve the animal. We can assist you in tracking and locating an animal if needed.

We are located in Central Kansas. Our pheasant hunting lodge in Abilene provides a convenient pheasant hunting location for Fort Riley, Salina, Junction City, Manhattan, and Milford Lake. Our pheasant hunting locations are near I-70 and I-35 for pheasant hunters travelling throughout the Kansas region!
